About Channel Islands Bible College & Seminary

Channel Islands Bible College & Seminary is a non-denominatinal Christian equipping center organized for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. It began as a vision of Nyeland Community Church in January of 1999 and opened its doors for the spring semester in February of 1999.

Our Spring 2009 Semester marked the completion of 10 years of educational training by Channel Islands Bible College & Seminary. In its first decade of operation, CIBCS ministered to more than 1700 students. Although we are in the early stages of operation, we have already witnessed great progress and impact in our local community and in many countries around the world.

As we continue to pursue our mission we are confident that the work God has done thus far will be continued on as He wills. It is with that in mind that we operate from semester to semester without charging registration or tuition fees (see "Grace-Based Education").

CIBCS is accredited by Accrediting Commission International (ACI), the world's largest non-governmental accreditation company. Thus, it's degrees are transferrable and recognized at over 320 ACI schools worldwide, and have been accepted at non-member schools such as Dallas Theological Seminary. For more information on CIBCS' accreditation click here.
